CIS of Atlanta Site Coordinator Provides Financial Assistance Following a Family Tragedy

Carmel, our Site Coordinator at Kimberly Elementary School, was able to provide financial assistance for one of our families.

A few weeks ago, three of Carmel’s students faced a tragic family death involving three of their family members. With the help and support of CIS of Atlanta, the family received $3,500 in financial assistance that will support them in rental, utility, and food assistance.

Additionally, in partnership with Roark Capital, each student in the family received a CIS of Atlanta-logoed backpack filled with school supplies and gift cards.

Thanks to Covenant House Georgia, Carmel was also able to provide them with toiletry kits.
