CIS of Atlanta Celebrates Black History Month 2021

Black History Month began as a way to remember important people and events in the history of the African diaspora. It is a time for the African-American community to remember what their ancestors accomplished during their fight for freedom. It is also a time for the community-at-large to learn more about the many innovative contributions Black people have made to our global society.

As an organization that serves a majority African-American population, it is important for us here at CIS of Atlanta to teach our students and community about those who paved the way for them and those who are continuing to do so today. This month, we will be sharing their stories.
