CIS of Atlanta Site Coordinator Rewards Scholars and Helps Them “Be The Voice”
Carlotta is our Site Coordinator at Renaissance Middle School, and she has been part of a team of school staff members who have worked hard on celebrating their scholars.
The Renaissance MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support) Team kicked off the PBIS Fun Fest with the "Be The Voice" initiative and their first-ever Hybrid Student Awards Celebration. During each grade level lunch, scholars were acknowledged by teachers and staff for their outstanding work throughout the first semester. Students received certificates/medals, MTSS giveaways, listened to some music while signing the "Be The Voice" banner that will be displayed in the building.
Carlotta says, “While our school has been fully face-to-face since October, our MTSS team truly understands that our scholars need time to have fun, let loose, and have a reason to smile whether they are virtual or in the building.”
Fun Fest continued every Thursday last month with various events, such as "Wildcat Trivia" through Kahoot!, popcorn & a movie lunch hour, and day to "chill out" with snow cones.
