On The Frontline! Brown Middle School Students Participated in Choose Success Water Conservation Pro
The “Conserve the 1% Water Conservation Project” included various components. For the Choose Success portion, students developed a small business unit to help promote awareness about conserving water. Students designed, manufactured, and sold t-shirts. Proceeds from their sales went to the school’s in-house CARE Team program, a program designed to support students and families at Brown.
Another group of students created an App that was designed to help reduce water waste. The App plays music during showers and once the song ends, the shower ends. This project was a collaboration with our Music, STEM and CISA departments.
Special thanks to CIS of Atlanta, Site Coordinator Eric White, The Brown Middle School Administration, and Atlanta Public Schools Superintendent Meria Carstarphen, Ed.D. for coming to support these efforts.
