“Choose Success” Project at Cross Keys High School Provided Thanksgiving Meals to Families
Students at Cross Keys High School are making Thanksgiving possible for families who would have gone without thanks to their thanksgiving canned food drive.
In collaboration with Chamblee first United Methodist church and the Girl Scouts, the school identified 10 families that would benefit the most from the food drive and those families received Thanksgiving food baskets before the holiday.
This was truly a Cross Keys “family affair,” as 10 teachers participated with their class. Together, they collected more than 600 cans.
The school also offered breakfast to the class that collected the most, which was 142 cans collected for a class of 17 students. What a wonderful way to give back to their community.
