45 Years of Service to Metro Atlanta
2016-2017 was another great year for Communities in Schools of Atlanta. Last year marked 45 years of service to Metro Atlanta and our 2016-2017 Annual Report highlights statistics and accomplishments of our great programs.
Most importantly, 92% of students CIS of Atlanta served stayed in school and were promoted or graduated. CIS of Atlanta is inside schools and in students’ live. Students are surrounded with a support system that fosters health, builds confidence and empowers students to succeed.
In looking ahead, next year CIS of Atlanta will serve more than 38,000 K-12 students, with approximately 4,500 receiving intensive individualized support. The primary goal is that by 2021, 95% of case-managed students with attendance, behavior or academic issues will be promoted or will graduate.
CIS of Atlanta is recognized by ICF International, a global consulting and research firm, as the nation’s most effective research-based dropout prevention program. This honor is attributed to our site coordinators’ tireless commitment to students and our ability to continually improve by periodically analyzing our program outcomes. CISA is also now stronger than ever due to our donors and partners collaborating to donate time, resources and talent in support of our organization. When it comes to making sure kids succeed in school and in life, we are ‘All In.’
