CIS of Atlanta Site Coordinator Organizes Black Women’s Wellness Event

Last month, Felicia, our Site Coordinator at C. H. Gullatt Elementary School, helped organize a black women’s wellness virtual event. This event was open to all parents and families of Gullatt, Felwood, and Conley Hills elementary schools in partnership with the Center for Black Women’s Wellness.

Wellness Program Coordinator, Morgan Barnes, MPH, facilitated the virtual event where participants learned about the environmental impact on their health, virtual cooking classes, healthy start initiative, and mammograms. All participants received a free mammogram voucher as a result of attending this event. One participant, Ms. Green, a mother of a second grader, won a wellness basket full of goodies!
