Choose Success Project Helps Carver HS Students Feel Good About Themselves

Students in CIS of Atlanta, Site Coordinator, Ms. Bush’s Girls of Excellence mentoring group created a hygiene closet because many students lack the necessities to keep up with good hygiene practices.

With the help of Ms. Bush and Carver Teachers, students created a closet full of items to help students feel their best and it was a hit with Carver students. In addition, students participated in a financial literacy workshop to determine costs for running the closet on a regular basis.

Ms. Bush says, “this project was a great initiative and I’m so proud of the students for stepping up and making sure their fellow students had a safe place to get necessities.”
