Cross Keys High School Hosts Vaping Awareness Event for Parents

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports a nearly 80% increase in teen vaping in the U.S. and Cross Keys High School wants to do something to decrease that number.

The school hosted a "Coffee and Conversation" meeting for parents to learn about the new trends for smoking via vaping and electronic cigarettes.

Guest speaker Zeuri Anderson Jackson from Caron Treatment Centers helped parents understand how they can be empowered to educate their children on the dangers of vaping and learn about available resources should they need help.

Special thanks to Carol Treatment Centers for partnering with Cross Keys to help with smoking cessation, substance abuse and prevention sessions for students who have been suspended for drug-related incidents.
