CIS of Atlanta Provides Prom Closet to Local High School Students

It's currently prom season for junior and senior students throughout metro-Atlanta! To support students during the prom season, Communities In Schools of Atlanta kicked off and hosted its first annual Prom Closet at Carver High School. The goal of the Prom Closet is to help students throughout metro-Atlanta who desire and want to attend their prom but need support by way of obtaining formal wear (gowns, shoes and jewelry) and receiving tuxedo fittings.

Several individuals donated formal wear to stock the Prom Closet with inventory for students to select and #sayyestothedress.

Nicole Bush, CIS Site Coordinator, who initiated the Prom Closet stated, “I saw a need for students to receive complimentary prom attire at Carver High School last year and I was compelled to take action this year. I hope the Prom Closet expands annually.’
