During the 2005-06 school year:

• More than 21,000 children and 8,200 parents were touched by some type of CIS-sponsored group activity.
• CIS staff provided more than 20,000 individual interventions to students and families referred by school staff.
• CIS staff coordinated more intensive, ongoing support through its small groups or one-on-one caseload services to 1,200 young people.
• More than 1,000 volunteers donated 12,486 hours of service at CIS-supported schools.
• Through partnerships with Borders Books and Reading is Fundamental, CIS was able to provide 24,000 new books to children at CIS-supported schools.
• Through a partnership between CIS and the Help A Child Mobile Dental Unit, 2,924 children at CIS-supported schools received comprehensive dental services at their school site.
