CIS must raise more than $700,000 annually to support its operations. Unrestricted donations are most welcome! If you would like to designate your gift for a specific purpose, you may do so. Current opportunities include:

• College scholarships for students who have graduated from a CIS high school or Performance Learning Center
• Scholarships to a variety of once-in-a-lifetime summer program opportunities for students to learn leadership skills
• Gifts designated to a particular CIS school
• Support for student-led service learning projects
• Support for student-to-student mentoring programs

TO MAKE AN IN-KIND DONATION
There are many ways in which individuals and organizations can make donations of products or materials to CIS schools. Below are just a few suggestions:

In-kind donations to help families meet basic needs:

• Various sizes of caps, hats, scarves, gloves, clothing, coats, jackets, sweaters, underwear, socks, shoes
• Personal care items such as combs, brushes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, soap, deodorant, feminine hygiene
• Clock radios to help children make sure they get to school on time

In-kind donations for use as student incentives:

• Bicycles & helmets
• Board games
• Book bags
• Books, magazines, activity books, CDs, DVDs
• Cologne, perfume
• Coloring books
• Crayon or markers
• Hand-held electronic games
• MARTA passes/tokens
• Nail polish, Hair accessories
• Purses, Wallets
• Puzzles
• Small electronics (CD player, AM/FM radio, clock radio)
• Sporting Equipment
• Stuffed animals
• Tickets to sporting events, theatrical performances, concerts, museums, amusement parks
• T-shirts
