This summer, Proctor & Gamble joined forces with Communities In Schools to bring awareness to our nation's dropout crisis through the School The Nation Campaign. As a part of their commitment, P&G ran commercials featuring campaign spokesperson, John Legend, and donated personal care products, including shampoo, lotion and deodorant to CIS programs around the country.

Walmart, also a major CIS supporter, provided logisitical assistance for the partnership by having their local stores serve as delivery sites for P&G product donations for CIS programs. Quincy Springs, manager of the Howell Mill Walmart store in Atlanta, was on hand at a special event in September to help distribute P&G donations to students at CIS of Atlanta's West End Performance Learning Center (PLC).

"I did not have a lot of role models when I was growing up, but I knew I wanted to be successful and carry a briefcase," Springs shared with West End PLC students during his visit. "If you want to be successful, then believe you can be successful. The issue is not that we dream too big and don't reach our dreams, but that we set our goals too low and actually do reach them. Believe in your own success."

"I'll definitely use the P&G products," shared West End PLC student Destiny. "And, I am looking forward to learning more about careers at Walmart. Mr. Springs was great!"
